Imperfect images – those with blurry areas, bad lighting, and color distortions – make the job of AI analysis harder and reduce confidence in the outcomes. Whole Slide Images are so large, it can take even the most powerful AI systems a while to analyze. Most are not even scanned at the highest quality to reduce size. In most cases, you don’t need a full WSI. You just need a small region or just what you see in the microscope (your Field Of View). This smaller area allows us to scan at a resolution you wouldn’t dare try for a whole slide. These images are clearer, sharper and provide the highest quality to the AI processing system.
